My Top 5 Female Overwatch Characters

Its listicle time again! This time I’m bringing you my Top 5 Female Overwatch characters!! I made this list purely based on the characters I enjoy playing as. Nothing more, nothing less. I might not be the best player (especially when it comes to aiming) but I do enjoy opening up Overwatch every evening and trying to work as a team and win some games!

With so many Overwatch characters to pick from I decided to make it a girls only list. Also let’s face it the girls are way better than the guys anyway! At this point I have been playing Overwatch for over a year now and I can still say that my aim sucks. I have a lot to work on but I enjoy the game and the characters.

So without further ado, let’s get started!

Moira – Support NOT Damage

Moira is like a chocolate cookie, she has it all! She has both the balance between support and damage, and when it’s done right, she can be a very deadly and effective choice. Unfortunately, I see a lot of players forgetting the support part of her build and I’ll be the first to admit that I am one of them, and I see that frustrates a lot of players on the team.

Her Ultimate allows for both healing and damage at the same time, so when an ally is in an enemies way she is able to both heal and destroy. With her background in engineering she managed to create a powerful suit that allows her to move around easily. Her versatility keeps bringing me back for more!

Symmetra – Damage

When I started Overwatch and watched a few videos on Youtube I noticed that a few players didn’t really enjoy playing as Symmetra. I on the other hand really enjoyed it! And she is still one of my favorite characters to play with! Symmetra is all about outsmarting your opponent, something I have yet to master but still trying my best to do. Perfecting the arts of positioning her small turrets can catch an enemy off guard or playing her portal just right to allows your team to sneak in and take the point. Her character design allows players to think outside the box especially if you manage to take the enemy by surprise and get a team kill!

Growing up in poverty she was scouted as one of the few capable of becoming a light bending architect. Being a model students and the top of her class she was unable to go home to her people. As she has perfected the art of light bending it is only natural for her to seek perfection on the world.

Mercy (Obviously) – Support

Mercy is probably one of the prettiest characters in Overwatch (in my opinion), her role in the game is to support her comrades by healing and keep everyone alive also bringing them back from the dead if needed. When she is not healing she can boost a single comrade’s ability in order for them to deal more damage or break down enemy shields. She is one of the best focused support roles in the game, which makes her an easy target for the enemy team. So please, please, pleeeaseee try to keep your Mercy mains alive!! Your team will thank you!!

Mei – Damage (Highly considering her for next years Comic Con cosplay)

Probably one of the most hated characters in Overwatch due to her Ice Wall, “freeze don’t move” or her defensive healing ice cube, which she traps herself in to protect from damage and heal up.

She can also be somewhat annoying for her comrades as one badly placed ice wall can cost an objective, especially if your team is the one taking it and doing some heavy damage. Mei has taken saving the world to a whole new level. She can be really hard to master since her attacks do little damage and have to be played perfectly. Her Ultimate, Blizzard, can make or break a match if used correctly as she freezes enemies within a certain radius, completely rendering them unable to move. However, if you manage to communicate well with your team it can be easy for you to get a team kill.

Ashe (Glory to B.O.B) – Damage

I recently started playing more with Ashe due to watching other players on Twitch, and, with the help of the streaming community I picked up a few tricks with her. I might not be the best at aiming but I can say that I am improving (slowly). Ashe is a fun character to play if you know how to aim well. Always by her side is her trusted sidekick B.O.B, who swoops in when called (like a knight in shining armour), and if played correctly can completely destroy the enemy team!

Not only is she pretty but she is voiced by Jennifer Hale. Not sure who she is? Well if you played Mass Effect she will sound familiar. She is none other than the Commander Shephard!!

I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favourite character on Overwatch

Overwatch’s cast of characters keeps getting bigger as they add more and more content. I’m very excited to see what new faces we get to meet along the way!

Tell me who your favorite female character is and why? Did I manage to at least name one?

Symmetra has been my favorite character in Overwatch for the factor of supporting a team. Many of her mechanics withe the portals were so useful and the turrets I set up to trap foes was always a treat. Symmetra had only become my favorite character after I slowly realized I sucked playing with Pharah.

Hi James,

The first character I also played was Pharah and I also did not do so great with her. Symmetra is a fun character to play however I feel like I always need to outsmart the other team, which I suck at but I look forward to playing more and improve my skills.

Ps. We should play together someday, could be fun.
