2021 Recap
It’s that time of the year again, where we all look back at the achievements we have accomplished and frown upon the ones we did not reach.
Looking back at 2020 I recall my time somewhat differently, last year I sat imagining what my new job would look like, how thankful I was for the opportunity, and how it will help me step into a new year.
All the challenges I could now overcome, the things I dreamt of buying for myself when I wanted. It was a wonderfully exciting experience. Sitting here thinking back, I cannot help but smile at how naive my thinking was.
Things have gone a little different than what I dreamt and imagined it would look like, I have thrown myself into my new (now old) job as a customer service manager. A job that takes up a lot of my time as I need to be able to take a call from a client at any moment, even after hours if need be. Somedays where it would affect my streaming as well and I would frequently have to step out for a few seconds due to taking a work-related call.
However, streaming has gone wonderful, I have met so many new wonderful streamers who are all pushing for the goal of partner, wanting to make a change, and just have fun while playing their favorite games.
I have been so lucky and had so many unforgettable experiences with the Vtubing community since I became a Vtuber this past year!
My writing has taken a bit of a back seat, as I have felt really unmotivated to share anything with the world really, sometimes even doubting my writing. It was very difficult for me to put my thoughts on paper and I found it hard for me to express how I felt. A lot has happened this past year, a lot has changed but I’m slowly finding my feet back to my keyboard to get back to writing.
Looking for more motivation, I started reading through some of my older blog posts, and while I don’t have a 2021 favorite blog post to recap on I still however 100% stand by what I said in last year’s post. My goals are still the same, whether it is streaming or blogging. I want to create a safe environment for female gamers and inspire future generations of gamers and content creators.
If I manage to change the life of one individual then I would have achieved my goal and I will be happy knowing I did my part through my content.
Focusing on the next year, I’m not sure what will happen and what the new year holds but I think it’s something we all need to look forward to. As the New Year slowly creeps up, I have my motivations and goals set for myself and if I’m going to achieve them then I want to keep them in mind all year long. Even if I need to have sticky notes stuck to my screen to remind me what im working for!
With that all being said, we have all had our ups and downs, however, somehow we made it, we have overcome so much, and as the year continues and another starts we will keep moving forward. We will rely on the support of our friends, family, and our communities. We will keep pushing forward to achieve our dreams and as time passes we will make it.

I look forward to stepping into 2022 with confidence, knowing I have you all there with me.
